SHT – Strain Hardening Test Modulus
Standard reference ISO 18488

The measurement of the SHT modulus of polyethylene is added to the list of Accredited Tests, which is obtained from a stress-strain curve based on the traction ratio performed in a climatic chamber at 80°C.
The value of the SHT - Strain Hardening Test Modulus - allows characterization between materials and it has been demonstrated that this value must be at least 53 Mpa for the latest generation PE-100-RC polyethylene according to the product standards EN 12201, EN 1555, ISO 4427, ISO 4437 and EN 15494.

Determination of resistance to slow crack growth under cyclic loading - CRB
Cracked Round Bar, test method ISO 18489

The determination of the resistance to slow crack propagation (SCG) of polyethylene materials, pipes and fittings is added to the list of accredited tests. The test method is also known as Cracked Round Bar (CRB) with the reference standard ISO 18489: this value must be at least 1.5x106 cycles with a load of 12.5Mpa for the latest generation PE-100-RC polyethylene according to the product standards EN 12201, EN 1555, ISO 4427, ISO 4437 and EN 15494.
